Based in Warwickshire Celia is an experienced family solicitor with over 14 years experience in family law.

Celia undertakes all areas of family law including divorce, financial and property matters and cases involving children.  She has spent her professional career in both Warwickshire and Northamptonshire and is very well respected by her colleagues, clients and other professionals within the local area. With a wide range of experience in family law matters including divorce, dissolution of civil partnerships, financial disputes, children issues, co-habitation disputes and protection for clients suffering from domestic violence. Celia is an excellent listener and is able to afford her client’s the time to talk through their issues as she appreciates all client’s are individuals and will be affected differently at times of extreme stress and anxiety.  She advises her clients in a straight forward and clear manner and ensures that her client’s are fully appraised of all of the options available to them when experiencing difficulties within their relationships.

Celia has a keen interest in matters involving children particularly where a parent is being denied any contact with their children.  As a parent herself she is very committed to the view that children should be protected from the conflict sometimes experienced between their parents and, subject to their safety and welfare being protected, that children should have the right to a good quality relationship with both parents post separation.  She has acted on a number of difficult Children Act cases through the courts which have resulted in successful outcomes for her clients in terms of maintaining their relationships with their estranged children.

A trained Collaborative Lawyer who undertakes collaborative cases alongside her more traditional family law work.  She is passionate about helping clients to resolve their issues without the necessity of court proceedings and conducts all her cases in a sympathetic and conciliatory manner, and has seen firsthand the benefits to families in dealing with their disputes in a supportive, forward thinking and positive manner with the parties retaining control of their negotiations with the assistance of their collaborative lawyers.

Although the Collaborative process is not appropriate for all clients and court proceedings are usually a last resort option, if necessary, she is a competent and experienced advocate.  Celia has the experience to guide clients through the court process and represent them within proceedings to ensure that their interests are protected.

As a member of Resolution, a national group of divorce lawyers, she is committed to promoting their code of conduct by dealing with all cases in a non-confrontational way.  She fully supports their ethos that family law disputes should be dealt with in a constructive way designed to preserve people’s dignity and to encourage agreements.  Celia is an active member of the local Coventry & Warwickshire Group.

She is also a member of the Coventry & Warwickshire Collaborative Lawyers Group.  The group which comprises all locally trained Collaborative lawyers as well as resolution trained Independent Financial Advisers and a Family Consultant, meet on a regular basis and their aim is to both promote Collaborative Law as an alternative for couples and ensure that as many people as possible are aware of the alternatives to litigation.
